The San Vito Bird Club [SVBC] welcomes photos from Club members for possible inclusion on the site. In order to ensure that the photos are sent to us legitimately, we require that photo-sharing participants abide by this Photo Submission Policy. By submitting photos to the SVBC for consideration, you certify that you have read and agree to this Photo Submission Policy.

All submitters are required to be current members of the San Vito Bird Club. Anonymous photo submissions will not be accepted.

By submitting your photo, you certify that you are the author or sole owner of the photo being submitted, and you further certify that the photo is not subject to any copyright claims or other ownership rights of a third party.

By submitting your photo, you agree that the SVBC has the right to:

• Publish the photo on the SVBC website, a public site on the internet, for as long it wants or until you revoke permission to use it (see next paragraph below);
• Modify the photo in any way necessary for the purpose of publication, including but not limited to cropping or reducing the image;
• Decide not to publish your photo, or to remove the photo after publication, without explanation.

If you want the SVBC to stop using a photo that you have submitted, you must send a written request, by post or email referencing the photo. The Club will comply with such requests as expeditiously as it can; but because the SVBC is a small, not-for-profit, volunteer organization, there is no guarantee how quickly a given photo will be removed from the Club’s site. The Club takes no responsibility for continued use of the photo by third-parties who have appropriated the photo or by web search engines that have cached the Club’s web page on which the photo appeared.

You understand that the photo may be copied or downloaded by third parties accessing our photo galleries, and you agree that the SVBC is not liable in any way for any unauthorized use of the photos by third parties.

You understand that the photo may become available for viewing, rating, and comment on by the public, and you understand that comments or ratings with which you disagree may be published, or otherwise become associated with, any photo or video you submit.

By submitting any photo to the SVBC you hereby waive any privacy expectations that you, or that any other person or entity depicted or referenced in the submitted materials, may have with respect to any such photo.

While the Club endeavors to give photo credit for all photos published on its website, there is no guarantee that such credit will appear with the photo as used on its site.

The person submitting the photo must be 18 years of age or older. If you are between the ages of 13-17, you may make a submission only if you provide prior permission of a parent or guardian. Submissions of any kind by children younger than 13 are not allowed.
