You are invited to join Alison Olivieri and Jo Davidson to celebrate Cornell Lab’s Global Big Day on Saturday, May 5 at 6:30 a.m. Be one of thousands of birders around the world who will be trying to beat the 6,357 species recorded in 2017. Costa Rica contributed more than 10 per cent of that number! We’d like to do even better this year, and your attendance will help us break that record!
Alison will lead the adventurous among you down the river trail to find species that we do not normally encounter on our regular walks. Jo will keep the count for those who wish to do their part from the terrace by the dining room. Both groups will have their observations entered into eBird to add the count for Costa Rica and the world!
You are also encouraged to observe on your own throughout the remainder of that day and enter your counts in eBird. Every species helps!
